Haha, I didn't have a creepy angle to it, but I was thinking something along the lines of a lesser version of the super soldier serum that didn't go as they expected so the retrovirus was introduced to 'undo' the serum. Maybe it did undo it, but left Natasha with some minor changes, like slower aging and she couldn't be inoculated with the reanimation serum because her body rejects it.

Okay, so. I was kinda thinking handwave the action-y parts of Jane being mugged, because yikes. So I'm here to see if you wanna do aftermath or just talk out how it goes so we're on the same page. 'Cos this is their groundwork for stuff later and all, and there will be more... kindasortabutnotreally dates, so we can wait for those, or whatevs. I'm flexible.

Heya! We can handwave the mugging. I was thinking she was grabbed pretty hard, she would have fought back as much as she could. I can picture her having dark bruising on her wrists and maybe even a black eye or something like that when her attacker tried to move her off the jogging path before Clint leap to her rescue. Since Reyes is a 'friend' of Clint's, he would have 'escaped', right?

The surprise of it, yeah, Jane would have been shaking and rambling quite a bit, clinging to Clint's arm for the 'demonstration' aspects as they headed across to the bar. I suspect Jane was shaking/trembling for most of the night while they talked at the bar. Clint puts her in a cab to head home? So they aren't seen going back to the same place?

How about Clint joins her jogging? I.e, he's looking out for her actively and is seen doing that? We could toss up a jogging thread tomorrow, giving them talk time and 'showing off for HYDRA' time as well.?

Heya! So, I have a future Steve plot that I would love to involve Jane with, if you're up for it. :) When Steve, Sharon and Sam go to try and take down Strucker, Steve is going to get hit with one of the weapons powered by the scepter (since from the tag to Cap 2 it seemed to me that Strucker might be using it to help with his gene manipulation of the Twins). I figure since Strucker is big into messing with people to give them powers and whatnot, what Steve gets hit with will mess with his super soldier serum in his body. Jane will probably be undercover at that point, but her helping to fix that problem would be groovy.

I would totally love this! Jane adores Steve. I don't know, however, if you want to shift that kind of plotty to our new Bruce.

AOS stuff (trying to be relatively spoiler free!)

So hey I didn't watch AOS for a while either, so I feel you. But just so you know (and I'm trying to spoil this as little as possible), SHIELD is down to a handful of agents by the end of the series. The crossover episode with Winter Soldier makes it pretty clear that SHIELD is basically toast; most agents are either HYDRA or were killed by HYDRA. It's also implied that there are a few secret bases her and there, but it's hard to know who to trust since HYDRA agents are sneaky. Regardless, everyone's kind of in hiding by the end.

Ooo! Thank you so much! :) I watched AOS for the first 3-4 episodes but I really couldn't get into it. I love Phil Coulson, but I felt like they were just trying too hard to be 'cool' with the other characters.

Hey! I check ~fandom_psls obsessively and saw you're looking to write against other Marvel characters. I suspect you're particularly looking for Thor, but if you aren't sick of me, I actually also write Bruce and would be happy to have a little side PSL thing going on. But again, if you're want to write against other, you know, not current-people-you're-already-writing-with people, I totally get that. I just figured I'd extend the offer.

UPDATE! Acause I know that you have all the busybusy moving things happening. So Clint got caught and everyone went all angsty, and the plan is that Clint will shortly go crawling back to HYDRA under the pretense that he got injured and not caught. And that's totally why he's late getting back to base and not because he was fraternizing or anything.

So. Jane can... sort of but not really panic, but Clint will be back to base tomorrow. Mildly injured. Woe.

Okay, just to let you know, I figured we could make this HYDRA thing go faster by breaking it down into two different threads, with Clint and Jane on different parts of the base, and that after Ward had an encounter with Clint, he could send him to go and get Jane out of whatever custody they might have her in (since scientifically she's valuable enough to capture and coerce to continue to work for them rather than outright kill), and that we could work from there with whatever level of distrust you want Jane to have and him doing to covert protecting her thing until it gets to a situation where he has to make it obvious that he's been doing things to keep her from being killed.

And then they could get out from there.

What do you think? I'm fully open to suggestions and tweaking.

If Ward is the one who knows he's being sent to contain/kill Clint because they want him out of the way and want to keep Jane, it would go better for Ward back at the Tower if he's the one who chooses to get Jane out safely rather than be sent by Clint. I mean, he's the one who is going to approach Clint with the knowledge, right? And he knows what they could do to Jane better than anyone, I would assume. He's had several run ins with Jane and she clearly treats him like a normal human being.

I think to keep this simple, he could just try the honest approach with Jane right from the start. Things are going tits up. Clint can't get you out. Do what I tell you or HYDRA's going to do bad things to you. Just quick, simple, forceful. Jane might not trust him until they are away from the base, but she'll go along with him under that kind of situation. Oh! Clint and Jane have a safeword. Crap, I'd almost forgotten about that. Clint could tell Ward the word to get Jane to be more accepting. It's "Lily". She'll do anything Ward tells her to if he knows that safeword.

I'm fully open to suggestions/tweaking as well. :)
