Ooo! Thank you so much! :) I watched AOS for the first 3-4 episodes but I really couldn't get into it. I love Phil Coulson, but I felt like they were just trying too hard to be 'cool' with the other characters.

No problem! I had a similar issue and honestly the only reason I kept watching it was to keep up with this game, since it seems like everyone watches it and uses details in that canon to craft details in game. I will say that the first few episodes are kind of a slog, but the characters start to develop better and HOLY GOD by the time they get to the Winter Soldier crossover and hell starts to break loose within SHIELD, the show becomes really goddamn good and basically all the stuff they covered in the beginning becomes relevant later on. But uuugh Whedon why with the terrible episodes at the beginning.

Haha, I try to read all the threads and texts to keep up. I'll have to look into watching the back episodes of AOS now.

I'm an OCD crazy person and I HAVE to watch all the episodes in order for... some reason, but if you want to skip to a genuinely good episode, all the ones with guest stars are pretty great. Sif is a guest star in one of the later episodes (7 or 8 I think?) and Maria Hill shows up a little later too.
