It occurs to me that Natasha has never specifically come out and said "yo, Clint is the dude I'm in that relationship with" to Jane, and that is making me lol over here a little bit at this thread.

Jane's a huge geek. She wouldn't have put two and two together. Maybe she just thinks Nat is being protective of her and trying to convince her that Clint isn't going to make things awkward for her.

Haha, I didn't have a creepy angle to it, but I was thinking something along the lines of a lesser version of the super soldier serum that didn't go as they expected so the retrovirus was introduced to 'undo' the serum. Maybe it did undo it, but left Natasha with some minor changes, like slower aging and she couldn't be inoculated with the reanimation serum because her body rejects it.

Haha, also, I just love it that Jane is like "hey, something's possibly fucked up with your bloodwork, but no worries! Like, you probably won't DIE or anything. How is babysitting that master assassin going?!" She's so adorable. Natasha loves her. Seriously, Clint needs to be worried.

Also I am so sad they're in different places because I would love very much the look on Jane's face as Natasha details the off-record parts of her medical history.

Oh, Jane knows whatever is wrong with Nat's bloodwork isn't fatal so she might just wait until after the HYDRA thing to deal with it. :)

Okay, so. I was kinda thinking handwave the action-y parts of Jane being mugged, because yikes. So I'm here to see if you wanna do aftermath or just talk out how it goes so we're on the same page. 'Cos this is their groundwork for stuff later and all, and there will be more... kindasortabutnotreally dates, so we can wait for those, or whatevs. I'm flexible.

Also possibly not making sense. Did I make sense? Lol.
